Phone Wings - Although not successful when investing in mutual sapphire screen technology GT Advanced, Apple did not stop to make other investments. This time a rumor revealed that Apple secretly hold talks to establish cooperation with Japan Display Inc., to meet the future supply of the iPhone screen to build a screen factory.

According to a source who first told the WSJ, the factory is planned to be operational by next year. Japan Display hope that Apple will invest up to 200 billion yen (about 1.7 billion dollars) for the factory project. The factory will be located in Ishikawa, Japan.

Japan Display currently has a factory in Mobara located in the southeastern part of Tokyo. The factory capable of producing 50 thousand sheets screen measuring 1.5 x 1.85 meters for the iPhone screen components and other products. The new factory in Ishikawa will have a greater capacity than the factory in Mobara.

The Japan Display company is a combination screen factory of Sony, Toshiba, and Hitachi which had experienced financial problems in the past. After the fight, Japan Display is able to achieve a profit thanks to increased demand for components of Apple products.
